Similar window hardware was used across Australian caravan makes in the 1970s, including some Viscount and Millard installations. Vicarr-style ribs around the outer frame can help identify the window family. Match the actual latch and mounting points, rather than relying on the caravan make or year alone. The turn-handle works the latch that holds the window closed; a winder, where fitted, opens the window.

Restoring a Viscount or Millard?
Start with the hardware on your window. Compare the latch body, handle, hook, catch and mounting points with our photographs. Older caravans can have different or replacement windows, so the fitting itself is the best guide.

The complete latch kit has been printed and fit-tested on a matching window. Checked measurements will accompany the listings before orders open. Send us a photo if you would like help identifying your fitting.

    Know the mechanism.

    A wind-out window opens using a winder; a push-out panel is moved by hand. This replacement is identified by its turn-handle latch pattern. Match the latch itself, rather than choosing by the opening method alone.

    Match the mounting points.

    Compare your existing latch profile, fixing-hole spacing and clearances with the photographs and the checked dimensions in the listing. The body, hook and catch need to work together on your frame.

Will it fit my wind-out or push-out window?

Check the latch pattern and mounting points already on your window. The kit has been printed and fit-tested on a matching assembly. Wind-out and push-out describe how a window opens; the replacement latch still needs to match the original hardware. Ask us if you need help comparing your fitting.

Is this an original manufacturer’s part?
